Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 ¼ cups flour (280 g)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup sugar (100 g)
  • 1 cup butter (230 g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons lemongrass paste

How to Make It

1. Step
Combine all ingredients into the bowl of a heavy duty stand mixer. Mix on low speed, scraping along the side of the bowl constantly.
2. Step
Once dough is thoroughly mixed, wrap it in plastic and chill the dough for an hour, and up to 2 days.
3. Step
When you are ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F.

Roll the dough out until ½-inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
5. Step
Transfer to a rack immediately after taking them out of the oven. Decorate as desired and serve.
