Prepare the roux by adding the butter, flour, garlic and onion to a saucepan and mixing on low heat until thick.

Gradually add the cream to the roux and stir until it is a thick consistency.

Continue to mix the sauce until the cheese is melted and smooth.

Add the cheese sauce to your broccoli and pasta and mix until everything is coated in the sauce. (Leftover sauce can be kept in a jar in the refrigerator for 1 week)
