Microwave Garlic Mashed Potatoes

In a medium bowl, add the potatoes and garlic and stir until evenly combined.

Microwave for 13 minutes. Remove from the bowl from the microwave.

In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, combine the milk, salt, and butter and stir to combine.

Pour the milk mixture over the potatoes.

Microwave for 2 minutes.

Remove from the microwave and mash the potatoes with a fork.

Add the pepper and stir to incorporate.

Garnish with chives.
